National Chapters

EANECE believes that strong national environmental compliance and enforcement networks are essential for the effectiveness, visibility and vibrancy of the regional network. The EANECE Secretariat is therefore continuously working with respective national environmental management agencies in East Africa to build new and strengthen existing national networks. The national networks serve as forums for strengthening relationships between government agencies involved in environmental management in the respective member countries. Over the past year, three national networks have been established in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Other national networks are envisaged in Rwanda and Burundi.
